Strengths of the Depression Center include treatment of mood disorders through comprehensive evaluation, second opinions, state-of-the-art pharmacotherapy and evidence-based psychotherapies; innovative research and clinical trials aimed at developing new prevention and treatment approaches; partnerships with community providers, including primary care physicians, to improve depression recognition, treatment, and outcomes; and education and training programs for professionals on new treatment options and ways to improve access to care.
